The destructive succession of typhoons swept several parts of the Philippines and left Filipino families homeless and in need of assistance. Victims were forced to evacuate and they couldn’t bring all of their things at home, so to help them start over, several concerned citizens initiated donation drives that requests in kind items, cash donations, and medicines.
If you haven’t donated yet, here are some organizations that you can reach out to.
#AbotGamot is a donation drive that “aims to raise funds to secure and deliver medicines to the people affected by calamities” especially after Typhoon Ulysses had devastated lives of the Filipinos. Their first batch of donations were spent on 9,500 pieces of doxycycline capsules and you can still continue to donate!
With the help of Generika Drugstore, every peso goes a long way for #AbotGamot can buy more medicine because of its affordable price. With 700 stores available nationwide, Generika Drugstore pioneered the retail of generic medicine in the country, giving Filipinos access to quality affordable healthcare.

Ayala Foundation is active with the COVID-19 relief operations and they are also helping families and communities affected by the aftermath of the deadly typhoon. Monetary donations can be made through their website. If you have extra time on your hands, you can also be a volunteer!
