Treasure Makers sure are hard workers!
Monster rookies TREASURE sold more than 700,000 albums only 3 months into their debut, making them one of the fastest 4th generation k-pop group to reach this milestone in 2020. With this, the popular rookie group is one step closer to their goal of becoming a million album seller through their album series, “THE FIRST STEP“.
On the 16th of November, YG Entertainment announced that the numbers for the single album “THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER THREE” recently released by TREASURE has reached more than 210k orders so far, another record for the 3-month rookie group. Both CHAPTER ONE and CHAPTER TWO of “THE FIRST STEP” album series received 250,000 in sales per single album.
Previously, the label mates BLACKPINK amassed over 1 million worth of physical album sales for their first full-length album in 4 years, “THE ALBUM”. TREASURE is expected to follow suit and reach its target for overall sales with their upcoming full-length album to be released next year.
As TREASURE plans to promote their activities by the end of the year with their 3rd single “MMM”, the sales are expected to steadily increase and continue to make waves.
Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) has just confirmed that TREASURE will be joining their lineup of performing artists, making them the first YG group in five years to step foot on the MAMA stage. There is high anticipation for them to claim the title of NEW MALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR as these monster rookies have had global success in such a short period of time.
The 12-member multinational boy group debuted on August 7 of this year under YG Entertainment, home to successful idol groups such as BLACKPINK, BIGBANG, WINNER, and IKON. Through releasing new songs in the past three months they are slowly gaining more new fans locally and internationally with their powerful performances and the continual support of their existing fandom, Treasure Makers.
