They’re back! After multiple delays caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the most prestigious beauty pageant in the country has finally set a date. Yes, the contest that changed the lives of stunning powerhouses such as Pia Wurtzbach, Kylie Verzosa, and Catriona Gray has announced that the Binibining Pilipinas Grand Coronation Night will be held on April 17, 2021, so mark your calendars!
The Binibining Pilipinas season was officially launched with an exhibit in Araneta City featuring the national costumes to be worn by beauty queen hopefuls. As per the official Binibining Pilipinas Facebook page, the exhibit is an opportunity for all the fans and supporters to have a better and closer look at the marvelous costumes as the organization pays tribute to the country’s heritage and cultural diversity.
In case you’re wondering how this year’s pageant will happen, Manila Bulletin reported that Stella Marquez Araneta, Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. chair, shared that the coronation night will be done in a “new normal” setting.
“Our tradition of identifying and crowning our new queens will be done in a ‘new normal’ and safe setting. We share your excitement as we see the candidates in action again, and we look forward to your continuous support,” Araneta explained.
Forty candidates are set to compete in the beauty pageant. The statuesque hopefuls will be vying for various titles, and the most coveted of which is the Binibining Pilipinas International title. Other crowns are Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental, Binibining Pilipinas Supranational, Binibining Pilipinas Globe, and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International. So who will be the next queens?
