Through an inspiring Instagram post, 23-year-old actress Michelle Vito shared her latest achievement: she has now graduated from college!
The “Bagong Umaga” star managed to balance school and work, and finally earned her Human Resource Management degree from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. She said that “it took some time and some delays,” but she made it!
Balancing work and studies
Michelle said that even though she knew it would be difficult to balance working and attending school at the same time, she pushed on since she’s always wanted to go to regular school.
“I wanted to live the life of a regular student. Going to school, [10-minute] break and long breaks, kain sa cafeteria and around Taft, the feeling of being in a classroom, school activities, and marami pa… Other memorable moments come from the times when I go to school straight from work and vice versa,” she said.
She went on to express her gratitude to those who’ve been with her through this experience, such as her family, friends, schoolmates, teachers, and God.
Michelle also shared how she really looked forward to having a graduation ceremony at school, which she would not be able to experience because of the pandemic. Despite this, she remains grateful for having reached this milestone in her life. “Even though I’ve dreamed and waited for that moment for many years, the current situation taught me to be content and grateful for what we have at the moment,” she said.
Her boyfriend, fellow actor Enzo Pineda, also posted Michelle’s toga pic on his Instagram to commemorate this special moment in her life.
“Congrats my dai, I’m so proud of you. Keep on striving in achieving your goals. Anything is possible if you put your heart into it. ILYSM,” he said.
