On Friday, April 30, actress-singer Nadine Lustre marked another milestone by being featured in a digital billboard located in no less than New York’s Times Square.
Nadine shared the good news on her Instagram, where she posted a photo of her profile under the Spotify banner.
The ad in the Big Apple was for Spotify’s EQUAL Music Program, a global initiative launched during last month’s International Women’s Day that echoes the music streaming platform’s commitment to fostering equity for women in music.
Nadine, who was chosen as the Philippines’ first Artist of the Month under the program, also graces the cover of Spotify Philippines’ EQUAL Playlist. Putting Lustre’s recent single “Wildest Dreams” as the first track, the EQUAL Playlist boasts tracks from a pool of talented local women artists including Moira Dela Torre, Karencitta, August Wahh, Clara Benin, syd hartha, Reese Lansangan, and dozens more.
Gaining popularity as an actress, Nadine made the leap to music by launching her solo music career under James Reid’s Careless Music Manila. She released her debut full-length album Wildest Dreams last October.
