Get ready to bid farewell to Elle, Noah, Lee, and Rachel! “The Kissing Booth 3,” the last film in the series, will be streaming on Netflix starting August 11, 2021. Joey King, Jacob Elordi, Joel Courtney, and Meganne Young will be returning to play their characters one last time.
Joey, Joel, and Meganne all shared the exciting news on their Instagram accounts with a short clip showing the four main characters looking into the distance. Joel said, “AUGUST 11TH!!!!!!! Ugh I can’t wait!!!!!!!!”
Netflix also released the logline of the upcoming rom-com movie: “It’s the summer before Elle heads to college, and she has a secret: She got into both Harvard, where her dreamy boyfriend Noah goes, and Berkeley, where her BFF Lee is going. Which path will Elle choose?”
However, it’s not just Elle who will be pushed to make big decisions as they move on to the next part of their lives. “[The Kissing Booth 3] is the culmination of this coming of age story — not just for Elle, but for Noah and Lee, as well,” director Vince Marcello said in an interview with Variety.
“Although their paths are entwined, each has their own journey with a set of challenges that they need to overcome before closing the chapter of their lives that was adolescence and beginning their new journey into adulthood,” he added.
The third “The Kissing Booth” book by Beth Reekles is also set to come out this year. “TKB3: One Last Time is based on the script of the third movie and will be released in time with the movie next year,” Beth said in 2020.
