In hindsight, it’s probably a blessing that the last Big Bad Wolf Book Sale was back in February 2020, because we were still able to stock up on our budget-friendly paperbacks before the pandemic forced us to coop up.
Fast forward to sixteen months later, we’re probably bored out of our wits after finishing our reading queue halfway through quarantine. Bookstores went back to business, sure, but nothing beats the glorious experience of waiting for the World Trade Center in Pasay City to open, taking every title on your reading list off miles of shelves, and discovering that all the books in your cart are discounted for more than half their prices.
Don’t fret, bookworm, because the famed book fair is back in business too! As of Monday, June 14, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale has confirmed that it will return for its 2021 edition, with patrons taking their book hoarding hobbies online!
Since it’s going down online, the Big Bad Wolf doesn’t have to jump from island to island anymore like it used to. Now, all low-cost books are available nationwide!
Aside from the book fair taking place in the virtual space and a call for partners two days ago, the book fair organizers didn’t disclose much else. It’s still enough to get us hyped though, because it gives us avid readers something to look forward to!
