City of Manila requires returning residents to undergo swab tests

Residents who are planning to go back to Manila after spending the holidays out of town are required to undergo Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) or swab testing before they get back to their respective homes.

Manila Health Department issued a new memorandum last December 29 stating returning residents should undergo swab testing at their designated swabbing/quarantine facility.

Those who will take the test will have to stay at the facility while waiting for the results which usually takes up to two days before it gets released. Residents that will have a negative result will be issued a medical certificate that will be presented to their barangay officials before returning home while those who will test positive will have to quarantine at the facility.

Here’s a list of the swabbing facilities based on Manila’s districts.

District 1 — Paez Quarantine Facility (0961-8977816 or 0928-6731715)
District 2 — Patricia Sports Complex Quarantine Facility (0917-9609112)
District 3 — Arellano Quarantine Facility (0918-4044627)
District 4 — Dapitan Sports Complex Quarantine Facility (0951-6729122)
District 5 — San Andres Sports Complex Quarantine Facility (0917-8031925)
District 6 — Bacood Quarantine Facility (0946-1430364 or 0908-6877105)

This is an effort made to lessen the cases in Manila.
