Cristiano Ronaldo tests positive for COVID-19

Portugese football star Cristiano Ronaldo has become the latest international star to test positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). The Portugese Football Federation confirmed on October 13 that he is asymptomatic.

The 35-year-old star is said to be ‘doing well, without symptoms, and is in isolation.’ Ronaldo has also been dropped from the Portugal’s Nations League match against Sweden in Lisbon.

On Monday, he was also seen dining with his teammates and shared a snap on Instagram to which he captioned, United on and off the field!” in Portugese.

Despite being isolated as he recuperates with the disease, he showed his support to his team and watched the game on TV.

Before contracting COVID-19, Ronaldo’s Juventus teammates Paulo Dybala, Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar, Kylian Mbappé, Angel di Maria and Marquinhos also tested positive for the virus.
