The Miss World Philippines pageant may have already crowned its queen, but some people still want to stir up conflict. Fortunately, Miss World Philippines 2nd Princess Ganiel Krishnan had time to snap back to salty remarks, specifically those made by Binibining Pilipinas’ official swimsuit designer, Domz Paras.

The squabble started when Krishnan confidently claimed the title in her Miss World Philippines screening video, expressing the common sentiment among pageant candidates that it was “Miss World or nothing” for her. After failing to take home the crown, which was eventually won by Cebu City’s Tracy Perez, Ramos circled back to the same screening video and poked fun at Krishnan’s title win prediction in a Facebook story

“MISS WORLD OR NOTHING DAW EH OH AYAN 2ND RUNNER UP JIVAHHHH,” the designer wrote, without dropping Krishnan’s name.

In retort, Krishnan took to Instagram to repost a screenshot of Ramos’ mockery on Facebook and their face. In the caption, the 2nd runner-up shared a statement scribed by one of her supporters, adding her own feisty words in the post’s preface: “UNNECESSARY. INSENSITIVE. BULLY.”

“If there is one thing that was made clear after the recently concluded Miss World Philippines pageant is that Domz Ramos is a bully,” Krishnan’s post began. “This is quite alarming because it has become a culture amongst Pinoy pageant fans to bash and bully candidates without considering the trauma it might cause to the bullied. As the swimsuit provider of Binibining Pilipinas , it also stains the reputation of the organization because of his affiliation so I am hoping that he will be reprimanded or dropped because of his bullying ways.”

Krishna’s post continued: “It’s high time that we call out these people who find satisfaction over other people’s heartbreak and misery. What bothers me most is that he doesn’t even show remorse because this isn’t the first time he bullied a candidate.”

“It discredits the sacrifice and hard work of the candidates and no one, regardless of his affiliation with any organization, has the right to invalidate the dream of any Filipina by bullying.”

In the comments section, Krishnan’s fellow beauty queens from this year’s various pageants came to her aid, namely Miss Universe Philippines 2021 fan-favorite Ayn Bernos, Miss Universe Philippines Tourism Katrina Dimaranan, Miss Eco Philippines Kathleen Paton, Binibining Pilipinas Globe Maureen Montagne, and Binibining Pilipinas International Hannah Arnold. Even veteran pageant contestants, Binibining Pilipinas Supranational 2018 Jehza Huelar and Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa chimed in to show their support for Krishnan.

The following day, Krishnan also announced her decision to relinquish her title and shared her plan to go back to her job as a lifestyle and entertainment news reporter for ABS-CBN.

“I have a thriving career as a lifestyle and entertainment news reporter in ABS-CBN before I entered the competition and have never kept my intentions to go back to it a secret, regardless of the outcome of the pageant,” she wrote as she thanked Miss World Philippines organization for the wonderful experience.
