Here’s what you should expect from the 2021 Manila International Book Fair

Here’s some good news for the bookworms out there: the highly-anticipated Manila International Book Fair is a-go, and you can score amazing deals on awesome book titles online. As per PhilStarLife.com, the 42nd leg of the country’s biggest book sale is set to run for 5 days from September 30 to October 4. 

MIBF shared the news recently with the caption: “Surprise Book Lovers! MIBF SALE is happening this September 30 to October 4, 2021. Save the date!” This is the second year in a row that the book fair has pivoted to the virtual space. 

While official details are still under wraps, if this year’s sale is anything like that of last year, MIBF will offer a plethora of reading selections from over 60 publishers all over the country such as National Book Store, VisPrint, Anvil Publishing Inc, Viva Books Publishing Inc, and more. The site will also likely offer a series of talks from acclaimed speakers in the local publishing scene.

Last year, they offered cash on delivery as one of the payment methods, but this was discontinued after their Christmas sale. They’re currently preparing the website for the big sale, but you should definitely bookmark www.manilabookfair.com for now. 

If you’re an avid book collector, this is one online event you surely don’t want to miss. The largest and longest-running book fair in the Philippines used to hold its annual sale at the World Trade Center but has pivoted to holding the event online amid the pandemic. 

Given that a lot of bookworms have scored huge discounts and that the event promotes the love of reading good ol’ books, it’s a relief that the organizers have been able to keep up with the times.
