Lea Salonga shocked by DepEd’s self-learning modules

Broadway star Lea Salonga could not help but air her frustration after several parents and students shared the errors from the self-learning modules distributed by the Department of Education (DepEd).

Salonga reposted one of the activities on Facebook wherein an owl was labeled as an ostrich.

“For the love of……. there aren’t enough curse words in my vocabulary for this s**t!!! THAT IS AN OWL, YOU IDIOTS!!!” she wrote.

The singer also reposted another screenshot of a learning activity thats says “L is for rabbit.” This time, she couldn’t take it anymore and said, “This might be never-ending. Excuse me, I need to gouge out my eyes. QUE HORROR!!!”

In another post, Salonga has had enough of the errors when she saw another post wherein students have to match the crayons with their colors but the crayons are in black and white.

“Okay for those of you that don’t understand Filipino, that means, ‘Match each crayon to its correct name. A is violet, B is blue, C is green, D is red, and E is yellow.’ HOW, HA? HOW? TELL ME, HOOOOOOOOW???” she said.

Since the lockdown caused by the coronavirus-19 (COVID-19) pandemic, students are now mandated to practice distance-learning this school year and several parents are also struggling with the new set up.
