Are you an avid art collector or do you simply enjoy checking out interesting pieces in museums? You’re in luck because Art in the Park just announced that their famous art fair is still happening this year!

From February 21 to 28, Art in the Park is hosting an online event that will feature 60 galleries. Through the virtual show, netizens will have the chance to check out and purchase some of the best pieces by local artists. Now more than ever, it’s important to support local products and the arts, and this event is an opportunity to show your love for Filipino talents.

Since 2006, Art in the Park has gathered together a diverse group of galleries, art schools, independent art spaces, and collectives for the country’s most significant affordable art fair. Past Art in the Park events were held in the Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village at Makati City, but the event has shifted to the virtual space since last year.

While it’s still prohibited to have big social gatherings and hold large-scale events such as art fairs, there are still ways to enjoy the amazing works of art Pinoys have to offer. If you’re curious about who will be exhibiting in this year’s Art in the Park, check out the video below.

As Spanish artist Pablo Picasso once said, “The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls,” and with everything happening in the world these days, we could all use some respite, and have the chance to enjoy breathtaking works of art. The Art in the Park online show might just be the virtual escape that you need.
