The hashtag #NasaanAngPangulo (Where is the President) has once again trended online as netizens are looking for President Rodrigo Duterte while Typhoon Ulysses struck Luzon, leaving residents on affected areas trapped and asking for rescue.
The President on Thursday morning attended the virtual opening ceremony of the 37th ASEAN Summit. He soon delivered an address to the nation and explained that as much as he wanted to visit the affected areas, he was not allowed to.
This is not the first time that the hashtag went trending. Earlier this month, when Super Typhoon Rolly hit the country, his constituents were also looking for his efforts and presence.
As of 2pm, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that there are no more areas under Signal No. 3, but storm alerts are still up in some portions of Luzon.
Manila also suspended classes in all levels, including graduate school, in both public and private schools tomorrow, November 13, 2020 due to the aftermath of Typhoon Ulysses.
