PAWS Philippines sets up its own “Community PAW-ntry” in QC

Because food is also a right for your furry friends!

In light of all the community pantries springing left and right across the country, the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), has set up its own version called the “Community PAW-ntry” in front of the PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center (PARC) in Quezon City.

Inspired by the original community pantry in Maginhawa, PAWS’ pet-friendly pantry offers various pet food and other treats and enjoins pet owners and advocates to give what they can and take what they need. The communal table is open from 8AM to 5PM every day except weekends and holidays.

How can you help?

To contribute to the PAWS’ community pantry, you may drop off your in-kind donations of pet food at the PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center located along Aurora Boulevard, Quezon City (just past Katipunan Avenue if eastbound). PAWS says just notify the gate attendant and he will arrange your donations at the table.

You may also donate in cash through the following bank accounts:

Bank of the Philippine Islands (Swift no. BOPIPHMM)

Acct Name: The Philippine Animal Welfare Society, Inc.

 USD Acct No. 3944-0021-61

 PHP Acct No. 3943-0086-11

Philippine National Bank (Swift no. PNBM PHMM)

Acct Name: The Philippine Animal Welfare Society, Inc.

 Acct No. 1888-70015305

BDO Savings

Acct Name: The Philippine Animal Welfare Society, Inc.

You can also course your monetary donation through PAWS’ GCash QR code by clicking this link.

Note that donations, whether in kind or in cash, go a long way to helping PAWS either replenish their Community PAW-ntry, or support the animals inside their shelter.

PAWS is also inviting all animal lovers out there to start their own Community PAW-ntries in their own locales to “help indigent pet owners cope in this pandemic.”
