Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis Honor Princess Diana on Mother’s Day

Some of the youngest members of the Royal Family paid tribute to the late Princess Diana of Wales on Mother’s Day, which was celebrated on March 14 this year in the United Kingdom.

Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton‘s adorable children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, all creatively expressed their love for “Granny Diana” through letters, artworks, and a cake.

“Each year on Mother’s Day, George, Charlotte and Louis make cards remembering their Granny, Diana, for William,” the family said.

The eldest child, George, wrote a letter; the youngest, Louis, made a card with stickers and a colored heart. The only daughter, Charlotte, did both.

“I love you very much and think of you always,” Prince George said. Meanwhile, Prince Louis put together a green-colored card and signed his own name.

In her card, Princess Charlotte mentioned Prince William, who lost his mother at the young age of 15. “Papa is missing you,” she said.

The family also mentioned how celebrating Mother’s Day this year is still not the same, and even difficult for some, due to the current global pandemic.

“Many of us will be apart from our loved ones, but looking forward to a time in the not too distant future when we can give our mother a hug again. But for those experiencing bereavement, today may be particularly challenging,” the caption read.

Aside from these letters and artworks, the kids also baked a cake together. Their post read: “Celebrating two other special mothers today,” and included a picture of a young Kate with her mother.

Princess Diana, who would’ve turned 60 this year, is set to have a statue in the garden of Kensington Palace in July 2021. A movie starring Kristen Stewart about the days leading to Princess Diana’s divorce with Prince Charles entitled “Spencer” is also in the works.
