With the new month come new quarantine restrictions that allow even more establishments to reopen, and this time local museums and historical sites are set to open shop once again. One such place that’s preparing for a comeback is the National Planetarium Exhibit Hall, which shared on Tuesday the news that it will again start accommodating visitors by the turn of the month on July 1.
Announced by the official Facebook page of the National Museum of the Philippines, the reopening of the National Planetarium comes with the caveat that it remains compliant with existing health protocols. These are as follows:
– Only persons aged 15 years old and above, including those with disabilities, will be admitted. Senior citizens may also be allowed inside as long as they are fully vaccinated and can present their COVID-19 full vaccination card.
Visiting schedule is from Tuesday to Saturday, with the morning session starting at 9 AM to 12 PM and the afternoon session starting at 1 PM to 4 PM. Planetarium shows will also be unavailable for the time being.
Opening in 1975, the National Museum Planetarium, was last upgraded back in March 2017, where it unveiled its new full-dome planetarium projector as well as its new Goto hybrid projector, the first of its kind in the Philippines.
