This Singapore company’s cleaning service offers “hunky” housekeepers-for-hire

If your house has become too dirty for one person to clean, try ten muscular dudes.

Singapore residents were in for a treat as VEHS.com, a home renovation platform, offered a one-of-a-kind service on Facebook: the Hunky Man Cleaning Service, where a group of, well, “hunky men” goes to your place to clean it from top to bottom.

Reportedly the first of its kind in Singapore, VEHS.com offer was keen to assure interested parties that it isn’t an April Fool’s Joke, but it won’t be available for long either. The service will only be available in Singapore this weekend, April 10 and 11, and saving a slot will set you back SGD420 to 700 (around P15,000 to P25,000), depending on how big your place is.

The unique concept gained equally unique takes from netizens who probably take housekeeping seriously. Someone asked if the cleaners have a portfolio besides being muscular, while someone noted that wearing jeans while cleaning just makes the task harder. Someone even argued that cleaning without clothes on defeats the purpose, as their sweat would keep dripping and they have to shower afterward.

Other comments under the post pointed out that it’s sexual objectification.

However, the company emphasized that the men had consented to go topless to “maintain a professional, healthy image.”

Forget not wearing clothes; these guys better wear masks when they come in to clean!
