Good news for those who have missed the arcades. Timezone has been approved by LGUs to start operating in select areas. This includes Timezone Serin, Timezone Solenad, Timezone CB Mall, Timezone Robinsons Malolos, and Timezone Robinsons Lipa. Other Metro Manila and provincial branches will remain closed in compliance with the restrictions set by the government.
IATF has imposed a guideline that only allows people aged 18 to 65 inside malls, but establishments that are no longer under GCQ/MGCQ have been less strict. Recently, they reopened Timezone Harbor Point, Timezone Ayala Malls Feliz, Timezone Geege Mall, and Timezone Robinsons Place Manila.
However, the fun at Robinsons Manila had to be put on pause on March 8 – only a week after resuming operations. They were advised by the LGU to close again until further notice due to the rising number of COVID cases in the city.
Rules and Reminders
As for the other branches, here are the requirements before entering their premises:
- No mask, no face shield: No entry.
- A Powercard is required to enter. If you don’t have one, these are available for purchase at the counter.
- Sanitize your hands.
- Temperature screening.
- Fill-up the health declaration form.
- Submit the form at the counter.
Other reminders to maintain a safe and fun place for visitors is to always wear your masks and face shields, not hog a game for too long, sanitize hands before and after playing, and practice social distancing whether paying at the cashier, playing games, or browsing in the prize shop.
For those worried about their Powercard expiry, balances will be temporarily paused. They’ll keep your game credits safe until you’re able to visit their venues again. In the meantime, Timezone wishes that their patrons stay safe and hopes to be back full of fun soon.
