It’s another chapter for Zoe Gabriel!
Zoe Gabriel, the Filipina teen from Singapore who went viral after referring to Charles & Keith as a luxury brand, is now a brand ambassador.
It may be recalled that Gabriel, 17, posted a TikTok video of herself unwrapping her “first luxury bag” and flaunting it. She also expressed gratitude to her father, who gave the bag as a gift. Unfortunately, there were netizens who mocked her, claiming that Charles & Keith is not a luxury brand.

In response, Gabriel created another TikTok video discussing her family’s unfavorable roots.
“My family did not have a lot. We couldn’t buy new things as simple as bread from Bread Talk,” she said. “Every time we passed by a store, my parents would just say next time, but next time would never come.”
“And I’m so grateful that my dad was able to get me one. He worked so hard for that money,” she added.

The incident piqued the interest of Charles & Keith. The founders called up Gabriel and her father over to its headquarters for a day tour and lunch.
On March 4, Charles & Keith welcomed Gabriel as one of their newest brand community ambassadors. They revealed the news in an Instagram post where she posed with their Alia bag in purple.
Gabriel captioned her post, “This international women’s day, let us celebrate with compassion. Let us celebrate with equality through equity, the way flowers do.”
According to the firm, they created the bag Gabriel is wearing in support of the UN Women’s Storytelling for Gender Equality program.
