Get free courses and certificates on Coursera when you enroll for the DOST Coursera Grant

With most of our time spent indoors, we’ve probably tried and exhausted different kinds of activities to keep us preoccupied. When you’re tired of out-of-work activities like bingeing shows on Netflix or scrolling through social media, how about taking a course instead?

There are numerous online class platforms out there, and one of the more famous ones is Coursera. If you want to take courses without having to pay anything, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Caraga is providing Filipinos access to thousands of courses.

Granted with 75,000 slots for free by Coursera, DOST Caraga is looking to fill those slots with learners who want to take courses on the site and get certificates. This is to ensure that Filipinos are equipped with further knowledge and skills amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Even though this is an initiative by DOST Caraga, anyone in or out of the Caraga region can apply as long as they are 18 years old and up. The deadline for course enrollment is October 31, 2020, while the deadline for course completion is December 31, 2020 for you to get the free certificates.

DOST Caraga outlined the steps for enrollment below:
