Pia Wurtzbach really has a way of outdoing her previous herself!
Similar to her win, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has once again made a mark by shocking the audience with a quiet yet luxurious beach wedding to longtime boyfriend, businessman Jeremy Jauncey in Seychelles.
Wurtzbach took to her Instagram account to share on May 5, 2023, her wedding video with the caption “Mr. & Mrs. Jauncey 3.24.2023.”
The video, which now has 1.3 million likes, has raked in thousands of congratulatory comments from friends, celebrities, and family including Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Anne Curtis, Charlene Gonzales, Pauleen Sotto, and Bianca Gonzales, among others.
A good number of the comments in her post lauded the couple for prioritizing their privacy and choosing to wed intimately sans the big event.
But really, there is so much more to love about the Jaunceys’ wedding:
Favoring a *REALLY* short guest list
Did you know that the couple only had three guests? They were their two videographers and friends Michael Gray and his partner Georgia Ma, and their photographer, Nelwin Uy. Apart from documenting their wedding, these three people likewise served as the couple’s wedding witnesses.
The vision of the groom for the wedding gown
Unlike other weddings wherein the wedding gown is chosen based on the bride’s preference, Wurtzbach opted to have a gown that captures her husband’s vision while making sure that is made by someone who knows her. A friend at that who is no less than Filipino fashion designer Bessie Besana.
The details of Wurtzbach’s gown including a classic corseted bodice with a soft texture and a slit were especially requested by Jauncey himself.

Adding nature and culture
A quick check on their Instagram account and you would know that they both love the great outdoors. Whether it was skiing, lounging by the beach, or fishing they are good with that, and this persona aligns with their choice of wedding venue, which is a secluded island with a panoramic shore, lush forest, and vast cliffs.
What also makes their wedding special is how their wedding bands were placed on a huge shell with just very little decor except for the picturesque sunset and Jauncey’s Irish kilts.
Choosing an unconventional country
They are both big travelers, this is partially because of work since Jauncey is a renowned strategic and content creative specializing in travel. So even though Wurtzbach never really hinted as to where she wanted to get married, whether in the country or not, it kind of made sense that she chose a unique country in East Africa.
Having a lot of laughs
Wurtzbach is a self-admitted goofball so much so that in March 2023, which was apparently their wedding week, she posted a skit featuring Jauncey and a tortoise which she named Brutus.
Their quirkiness and utter love for big laughs were a big part of their wedding which were also captured in their wedding videos as they were seen dancing and just having a grand time together.
