Abdul Raman Thanks Dennis Trillo For Helping Him During His Mom’s Hospitalization

Abdul Raman recalls how Dennis Trillo sent help to him at that time.

Sparkle artist Abdul Raman is grateful to Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo for being a big help while his mom was hospitalized.

In 2021, Raman took to social media to ask for help when his mother got hospitalized because of a stroke.

Trillo, who worked with Raman in the cultural series “Legal Wives,” was one of the firsts to come to rescue. Raman shares this to FreebieMNL and select media during the opening of Artista Salon in Sosyal Place, Lipa, Batangas on February 14, 2023.

After posting his plead for help on social media, he received a text from Trillo sending financial aid.

Siyempre, nag-text po siya na ‘Hey Abdul, how are you? I’m gonna be sending x amount.’ Nagpadala siya.”

There was also a time when Raman asked for Trillo’s help, at the time when his savings ran out due to hospital bills.

It was when ginamit ko na po yung buong savings, nagamit na po yung buong donations sa mom ko for her hospital bills. It was this time na sobrang gipit ako tapos sabi ko, ‘Kuya Dennis, baka meron po kayong extra diyan pang-food ko lang. Tapos nagpadala siya just for me.

Raman also shares that he’ll never forget his conversation with Trillo while they were taping “Legal Wives.”

He recalls, “Kasi I mentioned dati… may mga times na parang nagka-heart-to-heart talk kami noong kaming dalawa lang nag-uusap during the taping of ‘Legal Wives.’ Yung mga sinabi ko sa kanya was I really really want to be successful. I want to become someone na kaya kong ipagmalaki sa sarili ko. Someone I can be proud of. Ambition lang naman yun dati. But na-realize ko na pagka hindi ko na kailangan sabihin yun, that’s when I know na successful na ako.”

Raman then expresses how grateful he is to Trillo for being one of his real-life heroes.

He says, “Right now, hindi ko na po kasi masyado siya mine-message kasi nahihiya ako. Kung meron man po akong gustong sabihin sa kanya, sobrang sobrang thankful po ako sa inyo, Sir Dennis. I’m really really proud na nakasama ko po kayo and I’m so so happy sa bago niyong show. Sobrang galing niyo po.

“I hope magka-project po kami ulit together. Serye, anything. Sobrang special po sa akin ni Kuya Dennis kasi naging inspiration ko rin po siya talaga to keep going forward.”

How is Raman’s mom now?

He answers, “I’ve been taking care of my mom din. Nakakatayo na po siya on her own, with yung walking stick. Every day po kasi na free ako, nilalakad ko po siya around the house. Tinuturuan ko po siya kung paano buhatin ang sarili niya.”

According to Raman, only his mom’s motor skills were mostly affected by the stroke, but she is showing good progress.

He expounds, “Kumbaga yung entire left body niya po, na-paralyze. So, kailangan ko pang i-train ulit yung arm. Yung leg, umo-okay na pero yung arm, mas mahirap. Speech hindi naman [naapektuhan] and yung memory.”

Currently, Raman has already finished taping the upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime series “AraBella,” where he plays the love team of Shayne Sava. Sava headlines the show with Althea Ablan and Camille Prats.

Aside from “AraBella,” Raman and Sava will also headline the first installment of “Sparkle University” titled “#LikeForLike.”
