What does Dina Bonnevie think about her co-stars in “Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap?”
“Abot-Kamay na Pangarap” lead star Jillian Ward is enjoying her time working with veteran and respected actress Dina Bonnevie on the set of their show.
Bonnevie just entered the show as an additional cast member as “Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap” is awarded another extension due to its high ratings. The Kapuso series has been airing since September 2022.
In a recent Zoom press conference for the show, Ward shares her experience in working with Bonnevie for the first time.
The Sparkle artist shares, “Sa totoo lang, first time ko po siyang nakita, sobrang na-starstruck po ako tapos kinabahan po ako. Sabi ko po, talagang gagalingan ko. Nandito si Miss Dina Bonnevie.”
Ward admitted that in the beginning, she was afraid of Bonnevie. However, things have changed during their third taping day.
She recalls, “Noong una po, natatakot po ako sa kanya pero nakita ko po, super bait po ni Miss D, sobrang outgoing po niya tapos naalala ko po, third taping day po namin together, humingi po ako sa kanya ng acting advice and sobrang patient po niya, sobrang giving po niya na nag-share po siya ng acting advice. Mga 10 minutes po niya ata akong kausap! So, sobrang grateful po ako kasi kahit super big star po siya, talagang kinakausap niya po kaming mga bago sa industriya.”
How did Ward prepare for her scenes with Bonnevie?
She answers, “Alam niyo po, talagang inulit-ulit ko pong i-memorize yung lines na yun kasi nahihiya po akong magkamali sa harap ni Miss Dina. So, ayun lang po, bilang Analyn lang din po kasi yung pagsagot-sagot ko kay Ma’am Giselle.”
Analyn is Ward’s character while Giselle is Bonnevie’s name in the series.

Dina Bonnevie on Jillian Ward and accepting her role
Dina Bonnevie also has nice words not only for Jillian Ward but also for the other young stars in the series like Kazel Kinouchi, who plays one of the kontrabidas in the series.
She says of Ward, “Dancer yang batang yan! She loves to dance in between takes. Pero I love her energy kasi may mga taong nagta-trabaho na negative, e. She has a very positive attitude. Kahit naman si Kazel, e, si Kazel [is] less kulit than Jillian pero lahat sila very positive ang attitude nila sa work, and I love it. Kasi iba yung meron kang nakikilalang batang nagtatrabaho pero hindi niya gusto yung work niya, parang ginagawa niya lang ito dahil kailangan niyang sustentuhan yung magulang niya kind of thing. Hindi sila ganon.”

“Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap” marks Bonnevie’s return to doing teleseryes after 2021’s “The World Between Us.” How did she get into the teleserye?
She explains, “Kasi I’ve been waiting long enough na rin after ‘The World Between Us.’ I think there were few that were offered na rin to my manager pero ito lang talaga yung tinanggap niya and I kept asking, ‘Leo [Dominguez], why won’t you accept it? Ang tagal. I want to work na.’ [Sabi niya], ‘No, I want to choose the best one.’”
The Kapuso afternoon series proved to be a good choice.
Bonnevie continues, “So, I’m glad that my manager chose this one kasi napaka-box office director ni Direk LA Madridejos. From ‘First Yaya’ to ‘First Lady,’ lahat ng ginawa niya, super box office. So, I’m happy to be part of a box office team and ang saya din kasi yung iba kilala ko na, kasi I know Pinky Amador, I know Carmina Villarroel. I’m happy to be working with new ones like si Kazel and Jillian Ward and the others. Happy, excited.”
What does she think of her co-stars in the show?
Bonnevie exclaims, “Noong una, parang sabi ko, ang kulit nitong grupong to ha! Sayaw ng sayaw, kahit na nagbibigay na ng instructions, mga nagsha-Shakira diyan, sayaw ng sayaw! Ang kukulit nila kasi nga bata. E, di binibiro ko sila! ‘Ang dami niyong energy, ha. Sige, hanggang alas tres tayo!’ Pero ang maganda naman, kahit na makulit sila. they can perform naman, they memorize their lines, they’re on time. Wala namang kumukulit tapos biglang buckle-buckle pala sa linya. Siguro, noong first three or four days, medyo hindi pa ako masyadong nakikipagbiruan pero yung last taping yata, kumukulit na ako, e! Feeling ko, nagiging family na rin ako.”

“Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap” airs from Monday to Saturday at 2:30 p.m. after “Eat Bulaga!” Also part of the cast are Richard Yap, Wilma Doesnt, Andre Paras, Jeff Moses, and Dominic Ochoa.
