ABS-CBN recently signed a new content agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery. The arrangement aims to expand the reach of some ABS-CBN programs in Southeast Asia.
ABS-CBN said that it would highlight the Philippines’ culture and unique scenery. It will also showcase the same aspects of our neighboring countries. It’ll select lifestyle programs through the Asian Food Network and Discovery Asia.
Among the shows the country’s leading content provider plans to feature is Beached. It’s a travel series that explores the finest islands and beaches worldwide. The show’s first season will premiere on Discovery Asia on October 27.
Foreign viewers can now also catch The Crawl on November 9. It is the National Winner of Best Lifestyle Program at this year’s Asian Academy Awards. Foodprints, a show about the search for the best Filipino cuisine, will also be available soon. Internationally renowned Filipino chef Sandy Daza will host the series set to debut on December 14.
Metro Channel first produced these shows. It is a premium lifestyle brand under ABS-CBN’s programming division Creative Programs Inc. Audiences in the Philippines can watch these shows on the streaming service discovery+. The app is available for both Android and iOS users.
The agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery is another big step for ABS-CBN. It’s been only a few months since the company ended its deal with local media network TV5.

Despite this, ABS-CBN has done an excellent job of growing its connections. It recently expanded by partnering with GMA Network and establishing an office in LA.
