Will Alden Richards and Bea Alonzo’s movie still push through?
Alden Richards is not sure if his movie with Bea Alonzo will still push through.
He shares this in an interview with FreebieMNL and select entertainment reporters during the Lazada PH 11th Birthday Super Show on March 2, 2023 at Market! Market! Activity Center.
According to Richards, he and Alonzo will focus more on their separate projects after their primetime series, “Start-Up PH.”
He says, “As of this moment, parang medyo naging busy lang kami ni B with separate commitments. So, parang wala pa rin kaming update in terms of the movie that we’re about to do. But both of us are still waiting for that—sa go signal na lang.”
When asked if the film will still push through, Richards answers, “That we don’t know yet po. So, still waiting. Naka-standby po kami and we’ll see kung mag-push through po siya.”
In 2021, Richards and Alonzo signed a deal for movie entitled “Special Memory.” The project is a Pinoy adaptation of the Japanese TV drama “Pure Soul,” which also is the origin of the 2004 South Korean movie “A Moment To Remember.”
The film is a co-production deal with VIVA Films, GMA Pictures, and APT Entertainment.

What’s next for Alden Richards?
2023 is still a busy year for Richards after finishing “Start-Up PH.” However, he won’t be focusing on doing teleseryes for the year.
He says, “I’m gonna be hosting a new show sa GMA. Hindi ko pa lang pwedeng sabihin yung title kasi bago pa lang siyang concept. So, once it’s official na I’ll announce it naman.”

Richards is also set to make a movie comeback after the success of 2019’s “Hello, Love, Goodbye.” He continues, “’Tapos movies, sobrang dami. I think this year, I’ll be focusing more on movies and doing events under my production.”
In 2022, Richards established his events production company called Myriad Corporation. One of their first projects was the Eraserheads reunion concert.
Concert production will continue for Richards this year for an international act! He says with a smile, “Still in the talking terms pero masu-surprise na lang sila.”
