Alden Richards and Paolo Contis’ interviews with Boy Abunda are trending this week!

Alden Richards apologizes for ghosting Julie Anne San Jose; reveals romance with Winwyn Marquez
For the first time, GMA Network A-lister Alden Richards opened up about his love life to TV host Boy Abunda. The revelation happened on January 25, 2023 during Abunda’s show, “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.”
Richards confirmed to Abunda that among the rumored romances he had, two of these were true and almost became his girlfriends: Julie Anne San Jose and Winwyn Marquez.
But between the two, the interview delved into his relationship with San Jose. Richards admitted that he was at fault about why the budding romance was halted.
He tells Abunda, “I decided [na] mag-focus na lang po talaga sa work. Yun po yung inihingi ko ng sorry sa kanya. It’s a long time…a long time of… parang naiwan ko po siya and I’m sure, if she’s watching right now… Sasabihin ko na po—I never told anyone this—yung part po kasi kay Julie Anne, yun po yung parang mabigat.”
At the time they were doing “Sunday PinaSaya,” Richards and San Jose were not on speaking terms.
He says about this, “Naniniwala po kasi ako na time heals everything and mahirap po kasing ipilit na gusto mong magkaayos kayo pero yung panahon, hindi pa tama, kasi sariwa pa po yung sugat. And hindi po natin madidikta sa puso natin kung kailan gagaling yun. It really depends upon the person.”
But later while doing the Sunday show, Richards then broke the ice and approached San Jose to apologize.
He recalls, “So ‘Sunday Pinasaya,’ rehearsal, may green room po tayo sa studio 7. Nung kami pong dalawa na lang sa green room, ni-lock ko po yung pinto. And then, I talked to her na, ‘I’m really sorry for all what happened. Iniwan kita and there’s no one to blame but me. I was—may term po ako na ginamit—and I am very sorry. Sana mapatawad mo na ako.’”
Richards admits he was relieved after the conversation. “Okay po siyang kausap, and then, pagkatapos ng usapan, parang may relief po sa kalooban na parang for the longest time, iniiwasan ko rin po siya. Pero noong nangyari yung moment na yun, may dala pala rin ako. Now, we’re very much good friends.”
As for Marquez, Richards just said that it did not work out because of “work.”
Paolo Contis admits relationship with Yen Santos
Paolo Contis finally admits that he is in a relationship with Yen Santos. The two worked with each other in the Netflix movie “A Faraway Land” in 2021.
Prior to this, Contis was in a longtime relationship with Kapuso actress LJ Reyes.
In Contis’ interview in “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” on January 30, host Boy Abunda went straight to the point and asked him: “Si Yen Santos ba ay girlfriend mo na? Oo o hindi?”
Contis first answered “As a friend?” jokingly, but later admits that Santos is his girlfriend.
Contis also clarified that Santos was not the cause of his breakup with former partner LJ Reyes. Contis clarifies that when he went to Baguio with Santos “as a friend,” Reyes was already in the United States.
The “Bubble Gang” star told Abunda, “Well, yung ‘as a friend,’ nung nag-Baguio kami ni Yen, nasa States na sila LJ nun. Nagmukhang baliktad because your interview with LJ came out, pero wala na kami sa Baguio nun. So, ang feeling ng tao, habang ini-interview si LJ, nasa Baguio ako.
“Pero when you were interviewing LJ, mga one or at least ten days na silang nasa States, I left for Baguio nasa States na sila. Hindi na kami nun.”
In the same interview, Contis explains what happened between him and Reyes without going into specifics.
He says, “Somehow, medyo matagal na kaming hindi kami okay ni LJ, pero we were together, of course. Napapadalas ang away and everything. I think it’s a combination na ng stress sa pandemic and everything, no.”
But he further stresses that out that aside from the pressure of the pandemic, he also had some “kalokohan,” which he did not specify.
“Plus, again, yung pagdidiskarte ko ng sarili ko, na hindi ko na ini-inform sa kanyang yung mga bagay-bagay, which led to bigger problems. So, I won’t divulge na sa issue na yon, pero eventually, it piled up. Again, hindi kami nag-uusap nang maayos. Plus, yun na nga, every time ako nakakalabas ng bahay dahil pandemic, may work… may kalokohan din akong ginagawa.”
Heart Evangelista joined by Chiz Escudero in Paris
Heart Evangelista received support from her husband, Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero, as they went to Paris together.
Evangelista is currently in Paris for the fashion week. On January 27, she posted a photo of her and Escudero on Instagram after a dinner date.
Some celebrities shared their kilig upon seeing the photo through the comments section, such as Karen Davila, Paolo Ballesteros, Charlene Gonzalez, and even “Bling Empire” star Kelly Mi Li.
In late 2022, a rumor sparked that Evangelista and Escudero had separated. However, the rumor was debunked after the couple was seen together welcoming 2023 together with Escudero’s kids, Chelsea and Quino.
