A weekend loaded with reminiscing, paying homage, and celebration transpired in showbiz as Angelica Panganiban, Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, Elijah Canlas, and Miles Ocampo make it to the headlines.

Angelica Panganiban sentimental during family tour around ABS-CBN

Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban grew sentimental as she toured the grounds of ABS-CBN with her husband Gregg Homan and daughter Amila “Bean” Sabine.

In a series of photographs that Panganiban uploaded on her official Instagram account on April 30, she mentioned that she missed the network so much, her home for 30 years.

The trip was made more emotional as Panganiban met up with the ABS-CBN executives: Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes and Head of Star Magic and TV Production Laurenti Dyogi. 

According to the actress, she became slightly emotional for missing her “tahanan” and her “kapamilya.” In the same post, she also expressed her gratitude to the network for letting her enjoy motherhood.  

In September 2022, Panganiban brought to the world a baby girl she and her non-showbiz boyfriend Gregg Homan named Amila Sabine.

It can be recalled that Panganiban has always been loyal to ABS-CBN. She emphasized this in a press conference for her show “Ask Angelica” in 2020, wherein she said that she’s happy where she is right now. 

While some of her friends decided to switch TV networks and constant calls had been trying tyo persuade her, Panganiban remained firm with her decision. “Ako naman, I am very thankful na hanggang ngayon, may trabaho na binibigay sa akin ang ABS-CBN. Dito muna ako,” she shares.  

Dingdong Dantes honors Marian Rivera on Labor Day

Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes gave a proud shoutout to his wife, Marian Rivera, for her tireless work as a homemaker, mother, and wife all-year round on Labor Day.

In an Instagram post, Dantes expressed his admiration for Rivera, while also acknowledging  the amazing homemakers out there who work hard to “make their homes a comfortable and loving place.”

The post read: “Good morning to this incredible woman who runs our household. Despite it being a holiday today, I woke up a little later than usual and saw her downstairs, busy with something. As I made my way to the living room, I saw her packing goodie bags for our company party tonight!”

In the same breath, the “Family Feud” host had also extended his salutations to all the hardworking individuals, regardless of the line of work. 

Rivera is taking a break from showbiz to focus on being a mom to their two children, Zia and Ziggy. Dantes, on the other hand, is set to headline the suspense-thriller series “Royal Blood” and host the highly awaited “The Voice Generations.”

The couple is already nine years strong after their marriage in 2014. Zia was born in 2015 then Ziggy, in 2019.

Elijah Canlas expresses love for Miles Ocampo on her birthday

Award-winning actor Elijah Canlas took to Instagram some of the sweet celebratory words for girlfriend Miles Ocampo, who celebrated her 26th birthday on Monday, May 1.

Canlas publicized curated photographs and videos on Instagram, with a short but sweet caption that reads: “Witnessing your growth has been such an inspiration. I’m grateful I get to share this journey with you, Camille. You’re a blessing to this world– and I’m blessed to call you mine. Happy Birthday, my love!”

The post was met with Ocampo’s equally elated comment that read, “AAAAYYYYYYY-love you more than anything, my buggy butbut! all yours, my love. POV [earth emoji].

Other celebrities were quick to comment on the post, including Kokoy De Santos, Charlene Gonzales, and Mary Jean Lastimosa. 

Canlas and Ocampo have been exclusively together since 2021. The “Kalel, 15” lead star admitted their relationship in an interview with Ogie Diaz in 2022. The two were publicly affectionate with each other, as they both took turns greeting and admiring each other on social media. 

The two actors first worked together in the TV5 series “Paano Ang Pangako” in mid-2021.
