According to the post on Monday showing the official poster produced by YG Entertainment, the upcoming movie “celebrates 5 years of BLACKPINK in over 100 countries worldwide” and will be available in ScreenX and 4DX formats once it premieres in cinemas.

According to the movie’s website, the upcoming movie is part of the group’s commemorative “4+1 Project” and will unfold in various sequences such as the “Memories Room,” which looks back at five years worth of memories since the group’s debut; the “Beauty,” which presents intense image cuts of the four members and their distinct personalities; and the group’s never-before-seen “undisclosed special interviews” with fans.

It was back in October when Netflix premiered Light Up the Sky, a documentary on BLACKPINK which highlighted their recording experience, exclusive interviews, and their memorable Coachella act in 2019.

Debuting on August 8, 2016, as part of the Square One project, BLACKPINK broke into the scene with hits such as “Boombayah” and “Whistle.” Featuring members Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé, the group went on to become the highest-charting female K-pop act on the Billboard Hot 100 when their 2020 “Ice Cream” collaboration with Selena Gomez debuted at No. 13.
