BLACKPINK’s Rosé breaks records with her solo debut track ‘On The Ground’

It wasn’t too long ago that Rosé of BLACKPINK released her solo debut track entitled ‘On The Ground’. And just like her girl group, Rosé has been breaking records left and right!

She is now the first-ever female K-pop soloist to enter UK’s Official Singles Chart! This is the UK equivalent to the Billboards U.S. charts.

But that’s not her only record-breaking act, because Rosé’s ‘On The Ground’ broke another record for female K-pop soloists. In little over a week, her music video reached 100 million views on YouTube. This is the fastest ever that this happened to a female K-pop soloist. The previous record-holder was Jennie Kim – also a BLACKPINK member.

Aside from being the fastest female K-pop soloist to reach 100 million views on YouTube, ‘On The Ground’ also broke the record of highest views for a music video by a K-pop soloist within 24 hours. The video garnered over 40 million views in just one day.

Congrats to Rosé for breaking all these records!
