Beyond the fame with Bretman Rock
Born in the Philippines, the vlogger and influencer moved to Hawaii when he was 8 years old.
“You’re That Bitch” welcomes you into Bretman Rock’s world. The book features a collection of essays from how his childhood in the Philippines, his family, Filipino culture, and being a first-generation immigrant helped shape him into who he is today.
The book is a peek into how Bretman became a social media sensation at the precocious age of 14. It also shows how he balances living a glamorous jet-setting lifestyle on weekends while still serving lunch at his school’s cafeteria, running as a varsity track star, and making the honor roll during the week.
With his signature honesty, the book is an unfiltered and unprecedented look of his journey. He shares being one of the first digital celebrities who dealt with cancel culture, drama, and heartbreak. Bretman also writes in his essays what it means to love yourself and your community.
Bretman rose to fame for his makeup tutorials and funny videos, which often highlight his Filipino roots.
He is the first openly gay personality to appear on the cover of Playboy. He has an online reality show on MTV.
Bretman also did extensive endorsements for Nike, The Sims, Klarna, and more. He was also part of the Forbes Top 50 Creators of 2022.
