After months of speculation, Activision announced that they’re working on Call of Duty: Warzone mobile.
Call of Duty: Warzone allows online multiplayer combat among 150 players. Some limited-time game modes support 200 players. The game features cross-platform play and cross-platform progression between three COD titles. At launch, the game features two main modes: Battle Royale and Plunder. Whether you’re playing alone or as part of a fireteam, your goal in Warzone is to survive.
Warzone is a hit with the COD player base and the wider gaming community. Known for its heavy graphics, it’s a game that ordinary gaming PCs have trouble running. This is why several people have yet to play one of the best FPS games.
If you’re one of those who haven’t played the game, don’t lose hope! Because Call of Duty: Mobile (CODM), was such a hit, a mobile version of Warzone is finally coming.

The internal codename of ‘Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile’
Activision hasn’t released any teasers, but the company did give us a first look at the concept art. They showed the internal codename of the game, “Project Aurora.” It’s safe to assume that’s the working title for Warzone mobile. We’ll have to wait till launch for the official title.
Its release date
Job openings by Activision hinted at the development of another COD mobile game. But it wasn’t until March 11 that they announced what they were working on.
Activision has not set a release date yet, but some believe there will be a soft launch for the game in late 2022.
The gameplay features of ‘Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile’
Leaks suggest that Warzone Mobile will be like traditional Warzone. Since the original game has been running for over two years, its software has learned much about it.
Leakers say the mobile game will contain Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads in their game modes. They also confirmed Warzone Mobile will feature the OG Warzone map, Verdansk. Although its unique layout may only be for testing purposes, there’s a big chance that it’s what we’ll get.
Its crossplay capabilities
One question on players’ minds is, “Is the game cross-platform?” The answer is yes and no. Yes, CWarzone is cross-platform between all mobile devices (iOS-Android). But you cannot play with console and PC players.
That’s everything we know so far about “Project Aurora.” Based on the improvements made to the secret beta tests, a late 2022 release is likely. The game is currently in the last stages of development.
