“Emotions” gushed over as fans surrender their hearts to Carly Rae Jepsen
The fans of Carly Rae Jepsen followed the “Western Wind” as the American diva performed at the day one of Wanderland Music Festival. Her comeback performance happened at the Filinvest Concert Grounds, Alabang, Muntinlupa City on March 4, 2023.
The last time Jepsen visited the Philippines was at the New Frontier Theatre in 2019.
Jepsen surely made the most of the night for her comeback stint in the Philippines. Her Wanderland set was a mix of old hits and some tracks from her latest effort, “The Loneliest Time.” She played 25 songs in total.

The set started with the first tracks from her album “Surrender My Heart” and “Joshua Tree.” These were followed by “Runaway With Me,” “Too Much,” “Julien,” and “Talking To Yourself.”
After that, the crowd sang and danced to her classic songs “Emotion,” “Favorite Colour,” “Call Me Maybe,” and “Stay Away.”

Chill tracks from her newest effort “The Loneliest Time” were also present. These are songs “Bad Thing Twice,” “Western Wind,” and “So Nice.”
For the concert climax, Jepsen along with her band played her most famous ones. It includes “I Really Like You,” “I Want You In My Room,” “Cry,” “Your Type,” “Boy Problems,” and “Now That I Found You.”
Just like her singles, Jepsen assured her fans that she “…Didn’t Just Come Here to Dance” and to come back to ease “The Loneliest Time. ” She sang “When I Needed You” for her “last” performance.
Of course, Jepsen’s Pinoy fans, who call themselves the “Iglesia Ni Carly Rae Jepsen,” couldn’t get enough. Their wish for more songs was granted when Jepsen returned for an encore with “Go Find Yourself Or Whatever.” Wanderland’s first day came to an end with a performance of her song “Beach House.”
On its second day, artists such as Phoenix, Dashboard Confessional, August Wahh, and FKJ performed and entertained the concertgoers.
