Some ABS-CBN big bosses were also present as principal sponsors
Belle Mariano, Alexa Ilacad, and several other celebrities graced Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon’s star-studded wedding on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at a private resort in Silang, Cavite.
Carlo and Charlie’s exchange of vows were made upon the presence of their showbiz friends and colleagues.
Belle graced the wedding as one of the bridesmaids together with Kaila Estrada and Adrian Lindayag, while Sue Ramirez led them as the maid of honor. The groomsmen, on the other hand, had Ketchup Eusebio and Ramon Bautista as part of the group.
Meanwhile, Alexa took the duty as the cord bearer, while Loisa Andalio and Elisse Joson were in charge of the candle and veil, respectively.
Alexa has posted several snippets from the wedding, including one wherein she serenaded the other guests with KD Estrada during the reception.
More so, she posted a series of clips showing Carlo and Charlie’s kiss in front of the altar, the couple’s intimate moment during the reception, and her joyful tears with Elisse and Loisa during the ceremony.
The table for principal sponsors was decorated by the presence of veteran showbiz personalities: Vilma Santos-Recto, Maricel Soriano, director Olivia Lamasan, and VIVA’s Veronique del Rosario-Corpus—together with Senator Bong Revilla and wife Congresswoman Lani Mercado.
Also present at the event as principal sponsors were the ABS-CBN big bosses: Chief Executive Officer Carlo Katigbak, Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, and Board of Directors member Charo Santos-Concio.
Carlo and Charlie’s wedding followed months after the actor announced in February 2024 that he was planning to settle with Charlie “soon.”
While Carlo shares in an interview with TV5’s MJ Marfori that there were no plans yet, he still looks forward to it. As he puts it, “Wala pa, wala pa. Hopefully soon. Sana, ilang taon na ako, ilang taon na si Charlie.”

Charlie Dizon hinted about the wedding
Charlie and Carlo’s wedding plans made very little noise, and it was only speculated that the two might have been engaged after Charlie was seen wearing what seemed to be an engagement ring in February 2024.
While Carlo posted a seeming snippet from their pre-nuptial shoot on June 8, 2024, it was only the day before the wedding when Charlie hinted about it through an interview with PEP.ph.
Fresh from her Gawad Urian win as best actress for her film “Third World Romance” with Carlo, Charlie was asked if it’s true that they were slated to wed.
With reservation, Charlie replies, “Abangan niyo po! Ang masasabi ko lang, best gift siya. Kaya thank you, Lord.” More so, during her acceptance speech, Charlie shares the same sentiment: “Kung hindi niyo lang po alam, sobrang gandang regalo po nito sa akin ngayon.”
