BarDa love team is filming their first movie together in the land of K-dramas!
“Maria Clara at Ibarra” stars David Licauco and Barbie Forteza have flown to South Korea to film some scenes for their upcoming romantic comedy movie “That Kind Of Love.”
GMA-7’s talent arm, Sparkle GMA Artist Center, has confirmed the news via social media as it released airport photos of the two artists on Sunday, May 21, 2023.
Barbie was photographed in a cream-colored outfit with a caption that reads: “’Kapuso Primetime Princess’ Barbie Forteza is now on her way to Korea to shoot for the upcoming romantic-comedy film That Kind of Love, under Pocket Media Productions.”

Donning almost the same outfit color is David Licauco whose flight departure was announced in a separate post.
The caption says, “’Pambansang Ginoo’ David Licauco is also now headed to the land of K-dramas to shoot for the upcoming romantic-comedy film ‘That Kind of Love,’ under Pocket Media Productions.”

Fan accounts were quick to share some photos taken inside the airplane, while others could not resist showing their elation towards the upcoming project.

In a “24 Oras” report, an ecstatic David says, “Super excited of course. Siyempre, it’s with Barbie and such a pleasure to work with her.”
In the same breath, the actor revealed that they will headline a new TV series after they wrap up “That Kind Of Love.”
Their arrival is just as exciting for the fans as the stars upped updates about their side trips in Seoul through Instagram stories. David went to share a picture of the city, while Barbie tried some local gastronomic delights.

“That Kind of Love” is BarDa’s first-ever film, succeeding their highly acclaimed team-up in the historical fantasy drama “ Maria Clara at Ibarra.”
Director Cathy Camarillo, who worked in several ABS-CBN teleseryes, is helming the film under the production of Pocket Media.
Details such as release and story are yet to be announced.

David and Barbie have worked closely in the past, notably in the series “Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune.”
However, their chemistry was only noticed in “Maria Clara at Ibarra” where Barbie played the role of Klay Infantes and David as Fidel de los Reyes y Maglipol.
From there, the on-screen love team FiLay was born and ultimately developing into what fans now call BarDa.
