David Licauco reveals he’s a big KathNiel fan!
If David Licauco would be given a chance to work with an artist from ABS-CBN, he has a quick answer: “I would love to work with Kathryn Bernardo.”
He reveals this during an interview with the press and bloggers—FreebieMNL included—after the program proper of the Blue Water Day Spa event on February 17, 2023 at Marco Polo, Ortigas City. Licauco is one of the spa’s endorsers.
Licauco also reveals that he is actually a “big fan” of Bernardo’s love team with Daniel Padilla, KathNiel. He expounds, “Growing up, sila talaga yung pinapanood ko. Kinikilig ako sa sinehan, kasama ko yung mga family ko or friends and mga girlfriends ko before.

Of this, Licauco says he’s willing to play third wheel to KathNiel if the opportunity comes. “Why not? Kasi KathNiel yun, e, di ba? I’m a big fan.”
Licauco also has good words for Padilla’s acting mettle, which often becomes his own reference for heavy scenes. He shares, “Actually, every time na may mabigat akong eksena, pinapanood ko yung mga eksena ni Daniel. Yung mga pauses niya, kung paano siya magsabi ng specific line. Kasi siya talaga yung tinitingala ko sa showbiz.”
In fact, Licauco was able to catch two KathNiel movies in the cinemas: “Can’t Help Falling In Love” and “Crazy Beautiful You,” which he says is his “favorite.”
Licauco also had the chance to meet KathNiel “couple of times” in fashion shows of Bench, the brand they are endorsing. However, he says, “I never really got to talk with them.”
At press time, Licauco has just finished his primetime series with Barbie Forteza, “Maria Clara at Ibarra.” While preparing for their next project, the love team dubbed as BarDa is now working on an episode of “Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko.”
