What has become an annual Valentine’s Day tradition for Jolibee has now become an opportunity for more people to share their own kilig stories.
The launch of #MyKwentongJollibee this 2023 is part of the brand’s 45th-year celebration. Through this, people worldwide can now share their unique stories with others!
For Valentine’s Day, Jollibee introduces two different but equally entertaining couples in the #MyKwentongJollibee short film series for this year’s love month.
Multi-awarded Filipino filmmaker Paolo Villaluna directs the short films, with each featured couple sharing how Jollibee played a role in their love stories.
Dorothy Dee Ching, Jolibee’s VP-Marketing Head, says, “Jollibee has been part of the many memorable moments of Filipinos for generations, whether with families, friends, and even their special someone.
“For our first-ever #MyKwentongJollibee series, we celebrate real people whose love stories began with Jollibee. We wanted them to personally tell their beautiful tale of love for all the world to know and to inspire others to share the joy of love with people who matter most this Valentine’s.”
#MyKwentongJollibee 1: Finding forever on the job
The first short film, “From Crewmates to Soulmates,” shares Marife and Arnan’s love story that begins in Jollibee, not as star-crossed customers but as store team members. Their pre-nup photoshoot set in a Jollibee store went viral on social media. Some may have gotten a glimpse of their story a few years back.
The film gives viewers the in-depth details about their colorful love story, including how their relationship grew through the years.
“From Crewmates to Soulmates” is a story full of laughter and joy, but not without its challenges, which makes it more relatable.

#MyKwentongJollibee 2: Rediscovering love at Jollibee
The second film, “Second Chance at First Love,” talks about the love story of Mico and Camille. They are two contrasting personalities who first met in a summer review class.
It begins with Mico, a typical shy-type teen who meets the bubbly Camille. When he first laid his eyes on her, he knew right away that he had to ask her out. For their first date, he brings Camille to a place they both enjoy. But, not all first dates go as planned, and it took several years for the couple to reunite.
