The Razer DeathStalker V2 Keyboard: High-Profile Performance In A Low-Profile Package

Allow Razer to help you #WinItYourWay!

Razer recently announced the return of the acclaimed DeathStalker keyboard. The V2 features a regular, Pro, and Pro Tenkeyless variation. We’ll get into the details in a sec.

For the uninitiated, Razer is the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers. The American-Singaporean tech company designs and develops gaming products. Their product line includes gaming computers and dozens of peripherals.

The new DeathStalker V2 line is perfect for gamers looking for a clean desktop setup. This is thanks to a sleek, low-profile design language that runs across the entire range. The DeathStalker V2 series features both Razer’s linear and clicky optical switches. It has an elegant, low-profile appearance and is all about high-profile performance. It also has a slim-line metal top plate for exceptional durability. Finally, its laser-etched keycaps have an ultra-durable finish for greater longevity.

“The DeathStalker V1 became a fan favorite. That’s because of its design and typing feel,” said Chris Mitchell of Razer’s PC Gaming Division. “We kept the low-profile aesthetic with the new versions. But we also added our latest technology innovations.”

All-New Razer Low-Profile Optical Switches

The new Low-Profile Optical Switches use infrared light to register key presses. Found in every DeathStalker V2 model, they also provide lightspeed switch actuation.

This results in a faster, more responsive keyboard for gaming. All while providing a clearer, crisper feel for typing with no debounce delay on any key press.

There are two types of Low-Profile Optical Switches: Linear and Clicky. The low-profile optical switch has a 1.2mm actuation point, 2.8mm full travel, and 45g of actuation force. The Clicky variation has a 1.5mm actuation point, tactile feedback, a 2.8mm travel, and 50g of actuation force. With few contact points, Razer’s Low-Profile Optical Switches tested 70 million presses. It outperformed competing switches by up to 40%.

Both switch types are ideal for the DeathStalker V2’s low-profile ergonomics. Their thin form allows the keys to sit lower on the keyboard for a more natural hand and wrist position. Even after hours of use without a wrist rest, gamers will experience less discomfort.

The Low-Profile Optical Switches come with an ultra-durable coating to avoid damage. The ultra-durable coating allows the keycaps to outlast even double-shot PBT. A top plate made of 5052 aluminum alloy adds to its durability.

Performance Meets Versatility

Razer HyperSpeed Wireless is used in the DeathStalker V2 wireless variations. This makes it one of the quickest and most reliable wireless gaming technologies. Razer HyperSpeed Wireless delivers a fast and reliable wireless connection. This is through optimized data protocols, ultra-fast radio frequency, and Adaptive Frequency Technology.

Gamers can connect the DeathStalker V2 Pro and a Razer mouse to a HyperSpeed Wireless dongle. This was made possible through multi-device pairing for increased freedom and convenience.

The DeathStalker V2 Pro and DeathStalker V2 Pro Tenkeyless offer Bluetooth 5.0. The feature allows users to connect to up to three devices simultaneously without re-pairing them. You can switch between devices with the push of a button.

The DeathStalker V2 Pro can last up to 40 hours of use, while the Tenkeyless can last for 50 hours. Both keyboards come with a detachable Type C cable for charging or use while charging. This ensures that the longest gaming marathons aren’t cut short.

A Razer DeathStalker For Everyone

Every user can find the perfect keyboard in the DeathStalker V2 line. The DeathStalker V2 Pro is a fully equipped wireless keyboard. Razer designed it for users who prefer a cable-free setup.

The DeathStalker V2 Pro Tenkeyless provides the same wireless capabilities and performance. This version also has a clutter-free, minimalist design with limited desktop space. The media button and roller are kept for convenience, even on the tenkeyless version.

The DeathStalker V2 has the same functionality as the DeathStalker V2 Pro. The only difference is that the non-pro version isn’t wireless.

Furthermore, all Razer DeathStalker V2 keyboards are compatible with Razer Synapse 3. This provides users up to 16.8 million color customization with Razer Chroma RGB. They include hybrid onboard memory for storing user settings.
