Woo to the hoo!
Yes, you read that right. The Sims 4 will be free for users on all available gaming platforms next month!
The Sims 4 is a life simulation video game by Maxis and The Sims Studio. Electronic Arts published and released the game in 2014. Like its predecessors, players can control and interact with their Sims. There is no final destination; you can do whatever you want. Either you can be Mister Nice Guy and treat them well, or you can be a sadist and give them hell.
Thanks to a consistent stream of expansion packs and bundles, The Sims 4 is among the best games in its genre. Now, more individuals will be able to enjoy it.
Electronic Arts and Maxis said the game will be available for free beginning October 18. Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X users can download the game for free.
Maxis said their crew is “driven to produce new and meaningful experiences for gamers.” They’ll keep working on packs, Kits, and Sims Delivery Express drops.
What’s next after Sims 4?
Players can find out more about what’s next for The Sims franchise on October 18. Electronic Arts is set to do a live stream on its Twitch and YouTube channels. Industry insider Jeff Grubb claims they will unveil the next entry in the series then. He adds that it will most likely be a live-service game.
“Expect to hear about The Sims 5 soon. Do not expect to be playing it soon. The game is still a long way off. They’re going to tell you that it’s coming. In the meantime, you can enjoy a lot of stuff in The Sims 4.”

For those who want to get the game early, The Sims 4 is available on all platforms for $19.99. But we’d rather wait to save money for an expansion pack. We recommend you do the same.
