Maisie Peters visits the Philippines for two days!
European singer Maisie Peters visits the Philippines for two days on an acoustic live band set to serenade her fans in Manila.
FreebieMNL had a sit-down interview with Maisie during her intimate gig at Fully Booked, Bonifacio Global City, on March 16.
In the interview, she has shared her thoughts on her upcoming album “The Good Witch.”
The Good Witch
According to Maisie, “The Good Witch” isn’t a concept type of album.
She explains, “It’s not really a concept album but it’s a chronicle of the last year of my life. Essentially, I wrote about that.”
Talking about inspirations in terms of its arrangement, “The Good Witch” is about going back to her roots in music.
It promises a mixture of her influences in theatrical musicals and grunge.
If there is a concept, it would be the closing and opening songs going with each other, creating a loop for its listeners.

For Maisie, writing songs depends on the song’s calling or the day’s mood. “I have a whole list of lyrics and ideas on my phone,” Maisie highlights.
Maisie also adds that in her singer-songwriter point of view, it would be whatever inspires within a day, or what inspires her to play music.
In conclusion, for her “There’s no really one set way [of doing it].”
Maisie Peters’ upcoming “The Good Witch” effort will drop on June 16. It will be distributed under Warner Music Group.
