Gina Carano Claims Disney is Bullying Her After Getting Booted Off The Mandalorian

In early February, mixed martial artists turned actress Gina Carano drew flak from comments she made on her Instagram account. According to Variety.com, the 38-year old compared today’s divided political climate to Nazi Germany.

“Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…even by children. Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views,” Carano’s Instagram story said.

In another Instagram story, she shared a photo of a person with several cloth masks covering their entire face and head. The caption read, “meanwhile in California.”

Her remarks caused a lot of stir on social media which led to the #FireGinaCarano movement on Twitter, requesting Disney to drop her from her role in the wildly popular Disney Plus show The Mandalorian. Fans got what they hoped for as the House of Mouse did indeed fire Carano for her controversial remarks.

Now, Carano is claiming that she is being bullied by Disney after the booted off the show. “I’ve been through so much, and I’ve seen so much now, clearly, of the bullying that’s been taking place, and I saw it before. I’m not the only one that’s ever been bullied by this company, and I know that so deeply,” she explained in The Ben Shapiro Show.

“I’ve seen the bullying that takes place, and so when this started, they point their guns at you, and you know it’s only a matter of time.”

She expounded further how she knew that Disney was ‘coming for her’ after her social media posts went viral, but she claimed that she was going to stand her ground. “I’ve seen the bullying that takes place, and so when this started, they point their guns at you, and you know it’s only a matter of time. I’ve seen it happen to so many people, and I just thought to myself (…) ‘you’re coming for me, I know you are.’ They’re making it very obvious through their employees who were coming for me, and so I was like, ‘I’m going to go down swinging and I’m going to stay true to myself,’” Carano said.

True to her word, Carano has been actively posting on social media. Meanwhile, fans are anticipating how the showrunners of The Mandalorian will move forward without Carano. Whatever your stance is on the issue, this incident goes to show that sometimes, you better think before you post.
