GMA Integrated News Embraces New Era With A New Tagline

“Mas malaking misyon, mas malawak na paglilingkod sa bayan!”

GMA-7’s news department, GMA Integrated News, is now entering a new era.

This begins with the introduction of a new tagline: “Mas malaking misyon, mas malawak na paglilingkod sa bayan!”

This replaces the long-running “Serbisyong Totoo” tagline of GMA Integrated News as it embraces its greater mission to bring wider public service.

It has been less than a year since the news department of the Kapuso network rebranded itself as GMA Integrated News, which also calls itself the “News Authority ng Filipino,” due to its growth as a multi-platform and mega news agency.

This means that the department is not just giving service to televiewers or radio listeners but also those tuning into social media and other platforms.

With over 1,000 journalists and personnel across all platforms, 12 strategically located regional TV stations that air newscasts in local languages, 7 Super Radyo stations nationwide, and almost 204 million subscribers online, GMA Integrated News has embraced its mission to bring “the biggest and most important news and updates” to Filipinos here and abroad.

GMA-7’s Senior Vice President for Integrated News, Regional TV, and Synergy Oliver Victor B. Amoroso acknowledges that “being the most trusted news organization in the Philippines is a great responsibility.”

He explains, “The multi-platform campaign of GMA Integrated News – ‘Mas malaking misyon, mas malawak na paglilingkod sa bayan’ – strengthens our commitment in pushing ‘Serbisyong Totoo’ further by embracing a bigger purpose to bring fair, balanced, and accurate news to a much broader audience as the news authority of the Filipino.”

Together in one studio for the first time since the pandemic, journalists and news personalities from GMA News Manila, GMA Regional TV, GMA News Online, and GMA Super Radyo gathered for the GMA Integrated News Omnibus plug that debuted on air and online last August 7.

Of this, Vice President and Deputy Head for News Programs and Specials Michelle Seva shares, “This was a massive production endeavor involving many departments in the Network. We had to time everything, the logistics, the setup, and the actual shoot so as not to hamper the news operation.”

GMA Integrated News pillar and “24 Oras” anchor Mel Tiangco is honored to be a part of the Philippines’ news authority.

She says, “Karangalan po naming lahat na maging bahagi ng pinakamalaki at pinaka pinagkakatiwalaang news organization sa bansa.”

GMA-7’s flagship newscast, “24 Oras,” remains the most-watched TV program from January 1 to July 31, 2023, in Total Philippines (combined Urban and Rural), according to Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.
