'Godzilla vs. Kong' Starts Production In Australia - FreebieMNL

Legendary’s ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ Began Production In Australia?

Footage of extras on set has been leaked.

In 2021, Godzilla vs. Kong gave us the most intense fight in recent movie history. The film was about Kong’s clash with Godzilla after humans tried to take the former into the Hollow Earth. Godzilla won but left Kong alone after the ape king helped him defeat Mechagodzilla.

Producers decided it was time for a rematch because their original showdown was cut short. The film’s sequel began filming in Australia this month.

7NEWS Brisbane shared footage of people running for their lives at a beach. The set, designed to look like Rio de Janeiro, has extras reacting to something that’s about to escape.

In the footage, the directions given to the extras are audible. Directors told them to look at the ocean and the sky, then run away.

There are many creatures we can assume the extras are running away from. But regardless if it’s Godzilla, or Kong, or another type of monster, it’ll surely be terrifying.

The Australian newscast interviewed one of the extras on set about the scene they shot. “It’s secret, top secret, something to do with a gorilla and a dinosaur,” they shared. (Not very good at keeping secrets, are they?)

Producers are keeping the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong sequel under wraps. No one announced the start of production, which is unusual for blockbusters like this. All we know is that the sequel will see Adam Wingard in the director’s chair. Dan Stevens also signed on to play a mysterious character whose role has yet to be revealed.

Even though we don’t know much about the film right now, fans are confident that Wingard will deliver. Godzilla vs. Kong 2 will be in theaters on March 15, 2024.
