Sophisticated and stylish—these are the words that describe the duo of Heart Evangelista and Bea Alonzo when they went on a pamper date on April 12, 2023.
The ABS-CBN turned GMA-7 actresses surprised netizens as they posted Instagram photos together during their bonding moment.
In Alonzo’s Instagram post, the two can be seen all smiles as they walk with their arms intertwined in the hallways of the skin care clinic.
Looking fabulous in their black and white outfits, Evangelista and Alonzo have definitely become each other’s yin and yang.
Accompanying their photos is the “Start-Up PH” actress’ touching remark on her friendship with Evangelista: “Unexpected friendships are the best ones.”
To which Evangelista commented with: “It is indeed.”
People always say that in the showbiz industry, true friends come rarely; and as most celebrities say, lucky are those who find the ones who stick all throughout the reel to real life, even if it started through the most unexpected ways.
For the “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon” star, Alonzo seemed like a familiar friend she already met from ages ago.
Evangelista captioned her Instagram post: “Kinda like we’ve known each other “since grade school” type of vibe.”
“We’ve got some catching up to do,” she added.
The actresses’ self-care date began when Evangelista came to surprise and join Alonzo during her treatment, as seen in an Instagram video posted by The Aivee Clinic.
Thrilled by Evangelista’s visit, Alonzo could not help but exclaim, “Oh my God!” as she went on to embrace the friend.
Although the two arrived at the place separately, they left together at the end of the day, with Evangelista saying: “That’s just how it is.”

Bea Alonzo on her friendship with Heart Evangelista
In her YouTube vlog posted on April 22, 2023, Alonzo narrated how her unexpected friendship with Evangelista started.
She recalls, “Nung pupunta na ako ng Aivee [Clinic], nalaman ni Heart na papunta na ako. So, sabi niya magsabay na kami. Because we promised each other na lagi na kaming magsasabay sa Aivee…”
After their session at the Aivee Clinic, Evangelista invited Alonzo to her house. Evangelista’s husband, Senator Chiz Escudero, even cooked steak for them.
Alonzo says about Evangelista, “Parang familiar siya, but at the same time, she’s like a new person in my life.”
Their new-found friendship allowed Alonzo to get to know Evangelista more, even if they already used to work in some shows in ABS-CBN way back when they were still Star Magic talents.
Alonzo admits, “I was able to get to know her more. The things that I didn’t know about her before. We became friends again. So, it was just really beautiful.”
Evangelista transferred to GMA-7 in 2007 but it was only in 2019 when she became a talent of Sparkle. Alonzo, on the other hand, is managed by Shirley Kuan.
As early as now, Alonzo and Evangelista are already planning their travels abroad. “Ang dami na naming plano… na pupunta ako sa apartment niya sa Paris. Siya naman, pupunta sa apartment ko sa Madrid… Wow, ang sososyal! Ang lakas maka-social climber nun,” she says with a laugh.
The Kapuso actresses made headlines in March 2023 as they were seen at a gathering with fellow former Star Magic talents Jericho Rosales, Maja Salvador, Piolo Pascual, and Diether Ocampo.
