Heart: “Our baby is now a lady”
Heart Evangelista is one supportive stepmother to Chesi, as she helped Chiz Escudero’s daughter to glam up for her first-ever school promenade.
The fashion icon uploaded an Instagram reel on Saturday, June 8, 2024 showing her hands-on preparations for her stepdaughter’s prom.
In the video, Heart can be seen dabbing makeup on Chesi’s cheeks, trying out jewelry, helping her put on earrings, and ushering Chesi from the foyer and onto the car.
It comes with a caption that reads, “Our baby is now a lady! 🙂 our darling @yooniverse_c7 Chesi surrounded by her friends and loved ones as she officially goes to her first prom in @michaelleleyva.”
As seen in the reels, Chesi’s Michael Leyva gown is a wide-necked, beaded and champagne-like number, which complements her prom date Sparkle Teen Bryce Eusebio’s classic black ensemble.
Bryce, for her part, helped Chesi wear the wrist flowerette, as he offered Chesi a bouquet of flowers.
Heart has always maintained a good relationship with Chiz’s kids, Chesi and Quino. In fact, just recently, Heart also made a cute gesture on Instagram, wherein she and Chesi exchanged goofy words of appreciation.
Heart published a photo of her wearing a cardigan, leather pants, and gold jewelry to which Chesi has commented, “Tita Heart bat ang ganda nyo po.” As a response, Heart says, “Aba aba comment ka first time ha! Miss mo lang kakulitan ko.”
When Chesi replies that she missed doing TikTok with Heart during lunch, Heart quips, “On my way.”
Heart Evangelista and her love for kids
Heart has always been sentimental about having her own child, and this is evident in the way she lamented the loss of her four supposed babies to miscarriages.
On May 12, 2024, Heart pens a lengthy Instagram letter to what supposedly was her child she fondly calls FrancisKo. According to Heart, she already prepared a few things that the child might like, however, “for some reason,” the heart stopped beating.

Prior to this, she also revealed in the March 15, 2024 interview with Boy Abunda that she had a failed pregnancy through in-vitro fertilization. Grieving about it, Heart says that she hoped to share with her baby girl Heart what does.
Despite this, Heart remains positive and says, “If it’s not now, if it’s not this, may mas maganda pang nakaplano. Hintayin na lang namin yun.”
