A beauty and fashion icon of our time, Heart Evangelista has always been unafraid to experiment with different styles—her hair included, of course.
Just recently, the actress debuted her new haircut in an Instagram reel where she was seen flipping the mid-length cut with curtain bangs to the camera.
“What makes you happy today?” her caption states.
From her signature long hair, Evangelista switched to a shorter ‘do, all credited to the styling powers of Toni&Guy Philippines and Iconic Star Hair Extensions.
Adding a twist to the long bob, she also used 14” luxury tape-in human hair extensions, to maintain a trendy look as well.
Indeed, a fresh haircut is easily a source of happiness for any woman—especially if it makes you look a lot younger.
Thanks to the curtain bangs that do a great job at framing the 38-year-old actress’ face shape, much attention is being drawn to her high cheekbones as well.
Known as a versatile type of bangs, adding curtain bangs to one’s haircut can create a flattering look for almost everyone, making it a go-to when one wants to be her most gorgeous self.
As for the GMA-7 star, the combination of a long bob and curtain bangs did not only give her a chic hairstyle but also a young, radiant look.
And while curtain bangs proved to be great, Evangelista was still more than free to style her hair the way she likes it.
In another Instagram post, she showed off her new cut with the bangs clipped onto the sides of her forehead.
Aside from garnering compliments from netizens, Evangelista’s new look made it easy for fans to see a resemblance between her and South Korean actress Song Hye Kyo, who had a similar haircut in the hit Korean drama “The Glory”.
Some celebrities who left comments about her hair were Bea Binene, Carla Abellana, Rita Daniela, among others.
Why did Heart Evangelista cut her hair short?
FreebieMNL and other media reporters had the chance to speak with Heart Evangelista on Friday, April 14, at the Mott 32 Restaurant, Fili Hotel, Cebu City, for the launch of RLC Residences’ new property in the city, Mantawi Residences. Evangelista was the ambassador of the brand.
During the media Q&A, FreebieMNL asked Evangelista about her new look.
She first says, “You know, honestly, kasi nawawalan na ako ng time! No, just kidding!”
Evangelista then explains, “I just wanted something fresh, mainit, and just wanted a different look. And I also got my ears pierced!”
The 38-year-old TV and fashion personality then shows her newly pierced ear. Laughing, she continues, “So, I need to show it, charot! So, cinut ko na yung hair ko!”
As she continues to laugh, she says, “I’m just making it light because we’re talking about investments here!”
Evangelista also says “thank you” to those who said nice comments about her new hairstyle.
