Are you a huge fan of Korean cinema? Well, CinemaBravo just released photos that give the world a first look at Korean star-studded flick, Emergency Declaration.
The movie features big names in the Korean movie scene, including Song Kang Ho of Snowpiercer and Parasite fame, Lee Byung Hun who’s known for his films G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and The Magnificent Seven, Kim Nam Gil, Cannes film festival winning best actress Jeon Do Yeon, Im Si Wan, Kim So Jin, Park Hae Joon. How exciting, right?
Emergency Declaration is based on a real aviation disaster in which an aeroplane that was headed for Hawaii declared high alert and demanded unconditional landing. The movie is set for international premiere at the 74th Cannes Film Festival, which is scheduled for July 6 to 17, 2021.
The movie was first confirmed in 2019, and commenced filming last year. However, the pandemic has caused them to pause filming due to a resurgence of cases in the country. Fortunately for fans, they eventually got to wrap up filming within the year.
Well, it looks like the world will get to watch Emergency Declaration soon enough. Because of the worldwide fame of Korean flicks such as Train to Busan and Parasite, a lot of Korean flicks have been released to more international markets, including the Philippines.
So when will Pinoys get to watch the movie? Only time can tell. But given how big Korean movies are in the country, it’s only a matter of time before Filipinos will get to watch Emergency Declaration. With the amount of star power in the movie, it’s sure to be a hit. A lot of Korean film fans in the country will surely be excited to watch the flick.
