Here’s why Jennie from BLACKPINK deleted a photo on her Instagram account

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, South Korea is currently banning private gatherings of five or more people.

And because of this, BLACKPINK’s Jennie came under fire because of one of the photos she posted on her Instagram account. In her post, Jennie is seen at an arboretum in Paju, a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.

The photo in question showed Jennie holding an ice cream along with six other people. The photo drew criticism online because they assumed Jennie was hanging out with a large group despite the strict protocols in South Korea. Jennie deleted the photo after this.

However, after three days from when the photo was posted, BLACKPINK’s label, YG Entertainment, clarified that Jennie was outside with people for work purposes and not for a social gathering. Apparently, Jennie was filming for a video.

We can only wait and see what that video is!
