Monique Coleman and Corbin Bleu, who played couple Taylor McKessie and Chad Danforth in High School Musical, are reuniting for a Lifetime Christmas movie!
We may have already seen the last of Taylor and Chad’s story in the HSM movies, but there’s a new one we could look forward to—Lucy Mortimer and Barrett Brewster’s in the romantic-comedy movie “A Christmas Dance Reunion.”
Monique made the announcement on Instagram, where she shared a GIF of her and Corbin in character. “This has been the hardest secret to keep!!! Starring in a [Lifetime] Christmas Movie has always been a dream of mine, but never in a million years did I think I’d get [to] share the screen with one [of] my favorite people!!! [Corbin Bleu] & I are SO excited to join the #ItsAWonderfulLifetime this winter in ‘A Christmas Dance Reunion.'”
She also shared the exciting news on Twitter with the caption, “How it started [vs.] How it’s going,” with pictures of her and Corbin then and now.
Meanwhile, Corbin said, “I’ve got an early Christmas present for you! 🎁 Coming this winter, I’ll be joining the #ItsAWonderfulLifetime lineup in ‘A Christmas Dance Reunion’ with [Monique Coleman]! You are going to love this!!! 😉”
“A Christmas Dance Reunion” follows the story of a lawyer named Lucy, who returns to the Winterleigh Resort for Christmas before it permanently closes its doors. During her stay, she meets the resort owner’s nephew and her childhood dance partner, Barrett. Despite difficulties, Lucy tries her best to recreate the Christmas traditions they used to hold in the resort, including the “Christmas Dance.”
Aside from Monique and Corbin’s reunion movie, Lifetime will also release “Blending Christmas,” starring Haylie Duff, Aaron O’Connell, Beth Broderick, Christopher Knight, Greg Evigan, Barry Williams, and Robbie Rist.
