Independent and award-winning film Apocalypse Child will officially be on Netflix this December 20!
Helmed by Mario Cornejo, the film stars Sid Lucero, Annicka Dolonius, Gwen Zamora, RK Bagatsing, Ana Abad Santos, and Archie Alemania. The story revolves around a local surfer Ford, who believed that he is the son of acclaimed director Francis Ford Coppola, who taped scenes for his movie Apocalypse Now in the 1970s.
Apocalypse Child premiered at the QCinema Film Festival in 2015 and was also shown in several international film festivals.
In 2016, the indie film was shown in cinemas nationwide. The movie also bagged local and international awards from prestigious organizations such as the Gawad Urian, Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival, and Five Flavours Asian Film Festival among others.
